Delabie takes sustainability very seriously. We strive to do business in the most environmentally-friendly way by organising targeted campaigns and by setting goals. Our investments are both effective and efficient. We are not into hypocritical window-dressing or green-washing. And no obscure CO2 offsetting at the other side of the world either.
With the energy generated by our 11,000 m² solar panels (with a capacity of 1,540 kWp) we can ensure that our transport is fully CO2 neutral. This green energy (1,500 Mwh p.a.) offsets the daily commute and any company and truck journeys! This green electricity thus prevents 760 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum!
Digital proofs: Our online proofing system offers the opportunity to view and approve the proofs quickly and simply over the internet. This reduces our number of consignments and therefore emissions.
We have the following certifications:
Our major investment in energy-saving measures is constantly reducing our usage: heat exchangers (recovery of the residual heat from our heatset presses to heat the offices), frequency-controlled pumps, fully-automatic plate changing systems, smart LED lighting, state-of-the-art machinery requiring less and less energy, etc.
We are constantly investing in top-of-the-range equipment. Our machines can be adjusted to reduce paper feeding. As a result, our paper wastage has continued to fall in recent years. Our cleaning products are of the highest quality. The state-of-the-art printing presses equipped with the latest generation of rubber cloth and inking roller cleaning systems ensure that consumption has been reduced to a minimum. Our finishing machines are the latest generation with fully-automatic adjustment. This has enabled us to keep our paper usage to a minimum.
To contribute to making the world a greener place, we have planted no less than 1,650 trees on part of our land. These trees are a natural way of keeping our climate healthy.

Virtually all the packaging of our ink and other raw materials is recyclable. We also always try to order as much volume per packaging unit as possible.
Any raw materials waste is processed or recycled in an environmentally-friendly way (e.g. paper, aluminium plates, foil, etc.).
In order to keep any noise nuisance within the company to an absolute minimum, the entire workshop is equipped with sound absorbing panels. Our heatset presses are completely enclosed by soundproofing walls. The pile feeders on the folding machines are fitted with a sound absorbing housing.
Our heatset web offset inks are ‘Blue Angel’ certified. This means that the printed matter is not liable for extra tax to CITEO when distributed in France. However, even if your printed matter is not distributed in France, these inks ensure that the paper is more easily recyclable.
